Up for auction is a beautiful and unusual porcelain chocolate cup and saucer. Both the cup and saucer have the Doulton crown. On the cup it reads:Doulton Burslem, England. The photos do not do this piece justice! I don't know the name of the pattern but it is floral with beautifully muted pastel colors (pinks, violet, yellow, gold, blues, browns, greens and beiges). The handle and rim of the cup and saucer are in gold. Condition is excellent--no chips, cracks or crazing. The cup stands approximately 2 3/4" tall and the diameter is 1/2" at the top. The diameter of the saucer is approximately 3 3/4". I think the piece is hand painted rather than transfer (but I am not positive). This must have been part of a grand chocolate set at one time. Very lovely and very well done. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Please ask questions before bidding. Thanks for looking at my listings. No reserve.
