This set is not in perfect condition the lid of the sugar bowl was broken and glued back together some of the raised art work is broken off, other than that it's a beautiful set. It was made in Japan, GEM China is stamped on the bottom. The dragons are shiny silver and the color on all the handles and some of the dragon parts sticking out are two toned in a red terracotta color on the underside and on the top, a darker color of red as seen in the pictures. The top of the dragons head is shiny silver. Also, t is some raised accent green colors as well as dark red. The handles have a line of silver going down the middle as seen in the picture. T are raised white accents that outlines the designs. One picture of a plate shows the shiny parts on the plates and cups. T are lines of silver at the top and bottom of the cups, teapot, cream, sugar and on the plates and saucers. T is also a picture of the backside of the teapot which is the same backside for all the cups, creamer, and sugar, so t is a design on the back as well. This set is more colorful then seen in the pictures, it was hard to get good pictures of this set, that's why I have so many. The Geisha girl is in the inside of the all the cups.
