VINTAGE DRAWING INSTRUMENT BOX You are bidding on a vintage, possibly Victorian, drawing instrument box. It is in fairly good condition for its age, although there is a split in the wood in the base of the box but is still solid and not loose. There is a working key. The lid of the box has a brass inlay cartouche (not engraved) and also three lines of brass inlay decorating the lid. There are three different type of rulers, not at all sure what they are and although the instruments are all old I don't think they are all original to this box. Three of the instruments have bone handles, although one has lost the ball on the top. As can be seen in the photos some are made of heavy brass and a few of the metal ones have slight rusting to them. The box measures approx. 23 1/2cm x 15cm x 5cm. A lovely piece for a collector.
