Dress clips were a mainstay of 1920s jewelry. In 1927 Louis Cartier patented the double clip, an ingenious mechanism that allowed 2 matching dress clips to be fastened together and worn as one pin (or brooch). Or detached and worn separately on both sides of a neckline, on a hat, scarf or lapel. The double clip was a huge success. In 1931 Coro created their own version, called the Duette. This version we are offering is only marked with 2 patent numbers, #20669 and #2045335 if I am reading them correctly and no makers signature that I can find. It has clear round rhinestones in flower forms, baguettes and gold leaves and is very striking. Together it measures 3" wide and about 1-1/2" high. Good condition, no tarnish, has a safety clasp, no missing stones. Check our feedback for quality and service. Feel free to email us with any questions.
