Offered here is a rare vintage thick durene football jersey with sewn numbers. The Sand Knit tag is attached in the lower left tail. The tag indicates that the jersey was made in Berlin, Wisconsin, and is a men's size 46. This jersey has a heavy durene red body with yellow or gold sewn numbers and gold sleeve bands or stripes. There is no name on the back although there is a separate shoulder yoke piece sewn onto the body of the jersey with a white lining on the interior. The numbers are sewn on the front, back and shoulders. The style of this jersey likely dates it to the 1950s or early 1960s. Based on the colors, this could be an Iowa State Cyclones game worn jersey. This is a high quality item, undoubtedly from a college or professional program. The jersey is in excellent condition.
