More great pieces this week from another rural PA. estate.This auction is for a vintage W. & L. E. Gurley surveyor's transit in the original wood box.This is being offered as it was found in the estate. It is in nice condition, and is marked U.S. Dept. of Interior, Soil Erosion Service. I think this is painted brass since I see some brass showing and a magnet does not stick to it. Some small spots of paint loss, but overall, in nice shape. Marked Gurley on the transit and on the box. A nice vintage instrument. This is heavy, so please consider shipping when bidding. Please email any questions before bidding.
