Vintage E1 '59 Gillette Fat Boy Adjustable Safety Razor Vintage 1959 Gillette Fat Boy Adjustable Razor in Excellent Condition. The Famous Gillette Fat Boy. The first choice of wet shavers worldwide. It’s Heavy, stable, adaptable and smooth. Fat Boys work well with many different blades, and with many different beard types. Mechanically, it works perfectly. Cosmetically, it shows very little wear and has no significant flaws or damage. The adjustment dial stops with a The doors lock down properly and close in proper sync and alignment. The TTO is smooth and quiet. Cosmetically, it’s excellent, but not mint. It’s dated with code E1. It was made in the 1st quarter of 1959. It's a great looking 52 years old, but on the top of the head there is some fine scuffing, as you'd expect, and a little faint water spotting .The number paint on the adjustment dial is still all there, dark and intact, but the black paint on the brass washer under the dial is gone. I see no visible plating loss or corrosion, brassing, pitting or severe scratching. The inside and underside of the head is bright and clean, as is the handle. It has no significant or noticeable plating damage. Overall, it still shines out loud.. Please check the pictures for a closer look. Any defects are magnified far beyond what is noticeable to the naked eye. This is a very nice
