Vintage Eames Era Cherner Plycraft Chairs (pair) Available for bidding are two very nice, 1960s vintage, Norman Cherner side or dining chairs made by Plycraft in Lawrence , Massachusetts . These original, elegant, wooden chairs are very high quality, sturdy, and have a rich color and striking wood graining. Each chair is about 31 1⁄2âe tall, 17âe wide, and 18âe deep. The seat is about 18âe high off the floor. As one would expect with chairs of this era, they have some minor defects reflective of use which are shown in the photos. The remnant of the paper mfg. label (unreadable) is on the bottom of one of the legs. One chair is missing a section of surface ply on the inside of a rear leg, which is not conspicuous during use and has not weakened the leg (see photo). Both chairs have a few very minor surface scratches in the seat and back. These blemishes are mentioned in the spirit of full disclosure, are probably from normal wear over the years, and do not significantly degrade the appearance of these nice old vintage chairs. The legs will be removed for shipping, but are easily re-attached with 4 stove bolts (included) for each chair and a flat tip screwdriver. An identical third chair is being offered in a separate auction and has the same color tones and finish as this pair. Note: Combined shipping costs will be determined read more
