is a great vintage Stiffel Eames Era tension pole floor lamp with 3 adjustable torch lights. The switch on the side can be turned once and the bottom lamp comes on - twice and the bottom lamp goes off and the top two come on and three times and all three lamps stay on. the gold brass on the black metal is in an art deco design. It has holes around the bottom and top in a design and it looks very new age when they are on. This design is probably so the bulbs do not get so hot. The coverings for the insides of each lamp are missing. They looked like they snapped in. They might have been used so someone didn't accidentally burn themselves on the bulb. T are wooden ball handles off the back and their only use looks to be for aesthetics also. The pole measures approximately 8 feet 9 inches tall fully extended and the adjustable top measures 13 1/4 inches. So, it can adjust accordingly. It has been set up in this old bachelor's estate and has quite a few dings and some paint peeling off the black wood knobs. The middle lamp needs tightening to the pole but is still adjustable. The other two are tight and adjust easily. This is a unique old stiffel lamp with retro design and would look great in an Eames Era style office or home. These lamps were very popular in the 50's, 60's and 70's and are coming back into popularity and are very collectible. It could use a good cleaning and the brass could be shined up or left as is. The dings on the black metal and wood could be touched up or left shabby chic distressed as is. I am selling as is so please email me with any questions. I will take the lamp apart w the parts come together on the pole for shipping purposes and will send simple directions on putting together again for setting up.
