Vintage German Felt Hat From 1962

With 5 Vintage Pins from 1962

The pins on the hat have been pinned to the hat since 1962. The metal pins are tarnished, we have not attempted to clean any of these.

The hat measures 6" tall, circumference is 9". This is a ladies hat made of dark green felt. The hat is in excellent condition for it's age. It was stored in a hope chest, it was pressed flat, It could use a little TLC to reshape the hat. The felt has a slight musty smell, from being stored in the hope chest. T is no size indicated on the hat. I would say it looks to be a medium sized woman's hat.

The 5 Vintage Pins purchased in Europe in 1962 include:

Gold tone anchor with flag. The flag is white, red & light blue enamel. 1" X 1". In near mint condition. I see no flaws.

Andermatt, Switzerland gold tone pin, with hanging bell, with flowers on it. The bell still chimes. This pin has wear on the edges & on the bell. Good condition. 1" X 1".

Hafelekar 2300m German climbing pin. Has a gold tone pick axe with a green german hat in the center of it, "Hafelekar 2300m" on the banner below the hat. This pin is enamel & gold tone. 4 charms hang from the pin, a hammer, ski poles, a heart with an arrow through it & a hicking boot. Excellent condition. 1 1/2" X 1".

Innsbruck, Austria, silver tone pin. Has a pick axe with a flower over it, with "Innsbruck" on the banner. 3 charms dangle from the pin, a shoe, a man's hat & Tirol coat of arms, with red phoenix. 1" X 1".

Salzburg, Austria, silver tone pin. Has a boot with "Salzburg" on the banner below it, with a silver tone bell hanging below the pin. The bell works! 1" X 1".
