On the auction block is the perfect gift for the vintage pipe collector. It is a meerschaum, or stone pipe, unusual and beautifully hand carved, depicting a slender lady's hand holding the bowl. The pipe is in fantastic condition, with no chips or cracks whatsoever. The detail of the carving is wonderful, down to the fingernails, ruffled cuff and tiny button. The finish is very smooth and it retains all warm patina. It nestles comfortably into its carved wooden box which carries a pyro mark on the bottom for the Edmond pipe company of Eugene Oregon. The stem is black and may be bakelite, but it too is in excellent condition. The pipe does draw but not nearly as freely as it should, so it needs a good cleaning by someone who knows how. The pipe measures over 5 inches from fingertip to stem tip and the box measures 8 x 3 x 2". The pipe has been used very lightly, not at all excessively. This pipe will be a pleasure to smoke or put on display or both. Don't miss the chance to add it to your collection.Shipping is determined by buyer location via USPS Priority Mail or USPS Parcel Post. Shipping weight for this item is 3 pounds. (Sometimes ebay displays a shipping amount at the top which is incorrect, so please disregard it and go by the weight.) Payment by PayPal verified only. Please bookmark my auctions as I will be listing many wonderful and unusual items over the next few months. I have been collecting for 40 years and am letting many items go as I drastically refine my collections due to space. . NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: Due to a few recent international shipments which were lost in transit, I am currently not shipping internationally unless the buyer purchases a United States Postal Service which includes insurance. The two services which include insurance are Priority and Express, and these can be expensive. Using the weight provided and my zip code of 30021, you can logon to and find the shipping charges to your country via these two services. If you have trouble, contact me well in advance of the auction’s end, and I will take the package to the Post Office and get an accurate rate for you. I am sorry for this inconvenience, but my business is small and I cannot afford to refund monies when losses are out of my control. And this also protects you by insuring a shipment which is rarely lost in the first place. Thanks for your interest, and I hope to hear from you again. Sonny
