This beautiful Effanbee 1938 all composition doll named "Barbara Joan Ice queen" was designed by Dewees Cochran for Effanbee. She is from the American Children Series and is 15" tall, open mouth with teeth, lashed sleeping eyes which have crystallized and replaced human hair wig and replaced skates. Her composition is in very nice condition with little crazing throughout with some small paint loss on her left shoulder and very top of legs. Her eyebrows are light an so are her bottom lashes. Her lipstick needs touch-up. Her beautiful hands are in perfect shape with the original light nail polish and her feet are also without damage. She is marked on her back Effanbee Anne Shirley. Her off white dress with marabou trim is age worn and the dress has no snaps or buttons just a small safety pin. Her panties are replaced. She is a rare doll and will display well.
