This is a wonderful pair of vintage Egyptian motif cast iron bookends in great condition. They are cast in deep relief that features the Phoenix bird on top, two Sphinx, a Scarab, and other Egyptian symbols. The colors are great and the painting is in fabulous condition. These bookends are made of cast iron, have their original green felt on the bottoms of each bookend and they weigh approx. 4 1/2 lbs (before packaging).They measure approx. 5 ¼" high, 4 7/8" wide and the base is approx. 2 2/8" deep. T is a impressed mark on the back that looks like - c J. o and another impressed number mark - 9880.
