Here is a vintage compact from Paris, age unknown, from a local estate. Judging from other items they had I would take a guess it is from the WW2 era, as there were a lot of souvenirs from that time. Also see an Army compact I am listing from that estate this week. It is a marvelous electric blue irridescent mirror like finish, with the Eiffel Tower and surroundings in a soft metallic gold enamel and touches of red. It measures approx. 2-1/4" dia. Gold color metal edges have an old patina, probably brass as there are a couple of little tiny spots of green corrosion (which I am sure will come off with Maas cream), and clasp works well and is tight. The mirror is good, and the powder screen is also good, looks as if was never used with powder. On the back side in the center there is some wear to the blue, as shows in the photos. All in all, it is in pretty good condition. Thanks for looking. Shipping is based on small priority flat rate box incl. insurance
