Up for sale is a beautiful, restored vintage electric jeweled Kit Cat Clock in classic black, with wonderfully aged white detailing (our item #KCJ-BK2). A thorough professional service has been done on this clock. We completly dissasemble, carefully clean inside and out, then inspect and adjust any issues that would affect motor life or accurate timekeeping, Next, we install a new or remanufactured motor and properly lubricate.The most common motor found in these clocks has an internal gear that softens with age regardless of whether the clock is being used or not. Often, clocks purchased on ebay or elsew will run for a short time but when returned to regular use, the deteriorated gear will flake away very quickly and cause the clock to lose time and then stop altogether. Heat, generated by the motor, will also cause warping of the body and other parts which can result in severe binding. This is why the fitting of a replacement motor and proper service are so important to assure a troublefree accurate clock. If it is a jeweled version, we replace any missing, loose or lackluster stones with new, genuine Austrian Swarovski crystals.... not common acrylic rhinestones. We even use the same adhesive that was used originally by the factory. The clocks are then tested for several days for accuracy before shipping. As an added bonus, clocks purchased from us are unique in that they include a one year warranty . We operate the Kit Cat Clock Service Center in Colorado () and have an excellent selection of these rare and collectable clocks available. We are the one and only parts and service provider for electric Kit Cat style clocks authorized by the manufacturer, California Clock Company. Sorry, but we do not deal in the battery versions at all. Please contact California Clock Company at for your battery clock needs. We have many beautifully restored Kit Cat, Poodle, Owl, Panda and Teddy Bear clocks available, with or without the Swarovski crystal jeweling. Pricing varies according to the age, the condition, with or with jeweling and the rarity of the color. Please see our ebay store for a partial listing or contact us with your request. We also carry a full compliment of replacement parts for these highly collectable electric (plug in) clocks only. The one year warranty covers repair or replacement (our decision) of problems due to defects in materials or workmanship. Damage due to accident or abuse are not covered.
