ELIZABETHAN CHINA of STAFFORDSHIRE HAND DECORATED - F INE BONE CHINA TEA CUP AND SAUCER A beautiful fine bone china tea cup and saucer in very good condition An Elizabethan pattern "Versailles" A very pretty pale coloured spray of flowers decorates the bottom of the cup with a twisted gold / green ribbon bordering it. A lovely green edge to the top of the cup with a fancy gold gilt design to join the main white of the cup to the green band. A gold gilt band adorns the rim and on the outside it has the same gold gilt pattern around the middle and a wide plain band around the bottom of the cup and down the outside of the handle The saucer carries the same design as the cup and has the same gold gilting Cup measures approx. 4 inches / 10 cm diameter - 2/1/2 inches / 6 cm high and the Saucer 5 1/2 inches / 145 cm diameter Both are fully back stamped (please see photo) It is in very good condition with no colour wear - no chips - no cracks - there is however a small green spot under the glazing in the inside on the white band and the saucer has a couple of very small pin pricks in the white band The gold gilt is slightly worn where the few cups I have, have been stored and the bottom of the handle has rubbed on the cup under it (I have put a photo of this to show the slight damage) Made in England POSTAGE I never make a
