You are bidding on an old dove tailed wood box. It measures 18 inches long, 12 inches wide, 8 3/4 inches high. It is marked TWO DOZEN H.S. ECKELS & CO MANUFACTURING CHEMIST PHILADELPHIA. PA. on both sides. On the front & back are both marked PENETRATING BETA-DIOXIN RE-CONCENTRATED EMBALMING FLUID. It has the hand holes on both sides. It doesn't have a lid, don't think it ever did. The sides are dove tailed and the bottom is tongue & groove construction. The side in the picture is the worst side, seems to have a light stain & a couple dabs of white paint on it, the other side & both ends are very good. The box is strong & tight as can be. The inside of box has some dust. Came from a local Youngstown Ohio Funeral Home that is still in business, listing this for a friend of hubbys from work who said his grandfather worked t in the 1930's-1940's. He brought it home probably for a handy box around the house. He moved it around for the last 20 years & it is no longer handy. He is curious to see what it is worth, he said sell it. Nice old advertising piece in very good condition. This weighs 6 pounds by itself, so shipping will be on 8 pounds packaged. This can go FEDEX, might be cheaper!
