You are bidding on a VINTAGE EMDEE BY SCHELL DOCTOR BAG, PATENT NO. 2293363, IN EXCELLENT CONDTITION !!! This Doctor bag used to belong to a Neurosurgeon that sculpted and painted in his off time. And after years of that he gave up Neurosurgery for sculpting and became a renowned Sculptur.Some of us are lucky to have one career but two??? The Bag is made out of Genuine Cowhide and is a dark brown in color. It is handstitched with heavy thread very well constructed , high quality. There are some scuff marks as is to be expected and one side there are some white spots that I'm not sure what they are (please see photo) , there are also some white marks on the one side, I did not want to try to remove them. There is a small dent in one corner of the Bag, which is barely noticeable. Embossed on the bottom is the Numbers 5800-20-17 , Schell Brand and Genuine Cowhide. It sit's on 9 metal button legs. Interior in great condition but could use a bit of cleaning out. Bag has one lockingBrass Metal Closure Latch ( No Key) works great. One has to follow the arrow and turn it downward to be able to open the bag. And when you close it you have to make sure you slide the little hooks in the designated slots before you close it with the latch. Very neat design.
