A vintage Emmett Kelly's Willie the Clown, Exclusive Licensee Baby Barry Toy N.Y.C. cloth and rubber doll. He measures approximately 20.5" tall, 13" side to side (hand to hand) and 5.5" front to back. The clothing, hat and shoes on this doll have no holes or tears and colors are quite sharp, not faded. The doll and its clothing look hobo, with patches and a rumbled and worn look--please see pictures. The skin on the doll has a dirty appearance with no facial paint details missing. I don't know if the dirty look on this doll is suppose to be there or not. I am not a doll collector or familiar with the original appearance of this doll. I found it stored in a box and it looked like it hadn't really been used much. The hair seems to be full and not pulled out. It is a little disheveled from the hat on the head, it created some bumps in hair that I am sure will come out with a little water and combing. The are two letters on back of neck B B. The tags on doll coat read: Emmett Kelly's Willie the Clown, backside reads: Exclusive Licensee Baby Barry Toy N.Y.C. All clothes are tightly stitched and nothing is loose, except the hat--it comes off the head. There are no tears in the hat. I would say this doll is in excellent or very good condition.
