Fabulous Mementos Purchased at auction are the boots, stirrups and portrait of an English jockey named N. Spear. We also have his silk jacket and hat, and the white breeches made by Golding & Son, Newmarket. He certainly couldn't have weighed more than 100 pounds. The waist of the breeches measures 28". We will be happy to include the silks, but didn't photograph them as they are frayed and tattered. The boots are in pretty good condition, as are the stirrups. We believe these are from the 1930s but can't know for sure. If you have any information on this man, please let us know!
