Vintage English Oak Art Deco Bookcase Magazine Rack This listing is for a fantastic art deco open bookcase with arched top side compartments for magazines. The bookcase is oak and oak veneers with beautiful applied carved rose floral trim on all three shelf edges and radiating up on the front sides of the magazine racks. The bookcase is 23 ¼" tall; 27" at the widest point(top of arched magazine racks); 11 ½" deep. The shelf surfaces are 11 ½" x 16 ½" and t is 9" open height space between the shelves. The bottom of the top shelf is 22" from the floor. NOTE: The bookcase has the light oak patina in the gallery photo. Some of the darker photos in the listing were taken later in the day, with less light available. The bookcase is in good condition for it's age, visually appealing and structurally sound . It has signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections. A piece of the edge trim is missing on the lower side of one of the magazine racks; t is a photo included for further explanation. All my antique furniture is professionally packaged for shipment by UPS, resulting in very little shipping damage in the past, but sometimes creating slightly higher shipping costs on my antiques versus other sellers.
