Antique Try Square bought as part of a tool lot shipped from England, great working example and in 'as-found' condition. Nice tool to add to your collection, put her back to work or both. No working issues (no wiggling, looseness, rot...) that I note, has initials TA on one side. Looks to be Rosewood. Fancy Brass Diamond pattern inlays. The inside measure of the blade edge is 7 3/8", blade herself is 2 1/4" tall and 9" top run. The steel has a fine, smooth patina, fairly straight edges, responsible use of wood with typical ticks, all to be expected of a working tool. Overall- I would say: Very Nice one! ***Please note that this may be an old / very old tool. I describe my auctions the way I see the particular tool. I have tools in my shop which I consider mint and a neighbor may spot a half dozen imperfections or visa-versa. Each to his own. Please ask questions well ahead of time if you are a 'super particular' person. I try to describe what is of import to me and it may miss something which is very important to you. To the exception, of just a few people, my descriptions have been adequate or better for a few thousand auctions, and the fact that I am about the only seller on ebay who gives several pictures for each auction on a single tool should make your decision a little easier as to bid or not. ***We do combine upon request read more
