Very nice vintage English sterling silver picture frame with the traditional blue silk lining and a blue velvet back. An old estate piece from a very good Dallas estate and with definitely some age, but probably not extrmeely old; I would date it to about the 1980s. Well marked with the correct English hallmarks (just under the bottom center of the glass) in tiny letters, including the Lion Facing Left (for Sterling), the Leopard's Head (for London Made), the Date Mark (Hard to See, Possibly "U"), and a Maker's Mark (Too Small to Make Out). Unconditionally guaranteed genuine English Sterling Silver and NOT Silverplate and your money (less shipping) cheerfully refunded with *no questions asked* if you buy it and don't agree after you see it in person, but you aren't going to be disappointed. Image opening is about 2.1" tall and 1.5" wide and the overall size of the frame is about 3.5" tall and 2.25" wide. It would be considered a miniature frame, suitable for framing one of those little wallet-sized photos. Excellent condition, as the pics show, with NO pings, dings, dents or scratches. Stands fine with no problems and retains its glass, which has no problems. Back and front fit together securely, not loose. Some very minor wear and light fading to the velvet backing consistent with age, but noting concerning. The pics are very honest and show the condition well and you will not be disappointed in the condition of this piece. NO RESERVE and a nominal start and the pics tell the rest of the story, a nice opportunity.
