This is a rare late 1950s/early1960s Epiphone case from the period when they had just been bought by CMI and production moved to the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is suitable for a Sheraton, Casino, Riviera, Sorrento or Windsor (or similar thinline guitar) dating from this period. It will not, as far as I know, accept later Sheraton, Riviera or Al Caiola models with the longer headstock but would probably take a Casino or Sorrento. I'm not sure if these were made by Lifton, Geib or one of Gibson's other case suppliers and have found no makers tag inside. It is covered in the beige tweed fabric with blue plush interior that was used for Epiphone cases at this time before changing to the grey tolex/blue lining around 1960-1. Being 50+ years old it obviously has wear, particularly at the edges, but is solid with all five latches and the lid stay intact. The handle is also firm. One foot is missing from the bottom (replacements are available) and the key is long gone. The interior is in very good condition and missing only the purple tab from the string compartment. Let me know if you would like more photos. If you're looking at this you know how rare cases of this type are and how much they are fetching in the USA. I would prefer collection and cash payment but will ship worldwide and will ensure that the case is safely packaged.
