Vintage Ertl John Deere 6600 Toy Combine This toy has had one owner; me. My dad worked for John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL during the 1960's and I used to get a couple of John Deere toys every Christmas. This was the last John Deere toy I got and being a bit older, I played with it very little. I received this for a Christmas gift in 1968 or 69. This is why it has stayed in such good condition. I've been hauling it around with me most of my life and I decided it's time to let it go. You will have to look very hard to find any sort of scratch on the paint. It is in perfect condition, it could almost pass for new. If you've been holding off for a top-notch example of this toy, this is it. Everything on it is excellent and there is not one spot of rust on any of the metal parts. The combine action operates perfectly, just as it did when it was new. Beautiful metal blades, not the cheap plastic ones you see on the combines produced in the 70's and later. The cab is also excellent; there are a couple of minor surface scratches but nothing significant. There are even still the original excess tabs of rubber in the center of the front tires left behind from the mold. The original box is a bit rough but it has done it's job of keeping the toy from getting any damage. Made when Ertl was still made in USA and in Dyersville, read more
