Vintage McGraw-Edison "Eskimo" Electric Table/Wall Fan

Model # 08105

c. Probably 1950's-60's

This is just an adorable little aqua or tourquoise color retro metal desk fan that can also be hung on the wall. It is in excellent condition and "runs like a top". Works great. It came from the local estate of a 89 year old woman who kept it on a shelf and it looks like it was hardley used. We are quessing approximate age 50's or 60's, but it could be an even earlier, but have been unable to identify exact production year. You can view an original 1940's model No. 081002 of this little fan which was called the "bullet back" by visiting antique appliances which list for $79.00 on that site.

Marked on the face McGraw-Edison Co., Bersted Mfg. Division, Booneville, Mo.; 115V-60c Model 08105 AC 30w.

The fan has a side adjustment so the fan can be raied or lowered easily. It has 4 aluminum blades and a metal grill that is made into a flower form design on the front. Two-prong cord plugs into a regular electric outlet and operates at one speed. It has a hole in the top marked "Oil" for adding 3-in-one oil to the motor.T is a opening on the base for mounting on the wall and 3 rubber protective feet on bottom.

Condition: Excellent condition - near mint. No dents or cracks in blades. Grill like new. Only two or three pin point places in paint and one approximately 1/2" narrow scratch to paint on base. No other marks or rusting. Cord like new. All parts are intact and it runs good at top speed. Pictures show the excellent condition.

Measurements: Grill is 8 3/4" accross round; blades 3 1/4" long; Stands 11" high; Base 6 1/4" long x 4 1/2" wide at widest point. Shipping weight approximately 3 pounds plus a minimal handling fee.

This is just a darling little fan and a great addition to any retro kitchen or any vintage decor. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
