Rusty 0ld Esso gas station price sign-a real head turner. In fair to poor condition, but very readable. I got this years ago as part payment for cleaning out a mans garage.Has a few holes that are rusted through-mostly w fasteners held up the larger numbers. Bottom is completely gone from rust ( see picture # 4 ).
It measures 43" long, 21-1/4" high, 1- 1/16" thick and weighs 15 lbs. ( before packing for shipment ). It has some roof coating spilled on part of one side of the writing. I did not take the time to remove it , but it should come off fairly easy.
Large numbers have new bolts with fender washers behind them to help cover the rusted holes. Small 9's have original bolts and the tops are bent some on one side of the top of the two numbers. Sign flexes some in the middle due to the condition of the sign.
It originally hung in a frame that allowed it to swing back and forth in a wind or breeze, but the frame is long gone. The large numbers have other numbers on the back side ---
numbers include 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8. I think the 6's could be turned around to make 9's.
T are NO 1's, 4's, or 5's. Two new screws on top side are holding sign together --
you can remove them to loosen bolts to change the numbers.
Would make a great gift for someone living next door to a CEO of an oil company---see how things used to be !!! Pictures tell the story of condition etc. What you see is what you get. Shipment will probably be by UPS --will know amount later after it is packed for shipping. No reserve!!
