This is an interesting and fun lot of misc. vintage buttons from the estate. I don't think anything was ever thrown away. They are comprised of various materials, shapes and sizes. T are plastics, some of which I presume are bakelite, but I'm not sure as I don't know how to tell. Some are lucite and celluloid perhaps as well as regular old plastic. Some could be bone. I know that t is a set of (4) that are carnival glass. Only (3) is in photo, as I found the other one later. T are green glass that appear to be depression glass. T are a couple of old milk glass florals. T are a set of (5) smokey glass facet cut only (4) in photo. T are mother of pearl, metal, wood, leather and just about anything you can think of. I started to try and sort them, but it became quite a daunting task and I gave up. So t are probably more sets and more to the sets that I separated, would be my guess. I don't know how many t are total but they weigh in at over 5 lbs. on my scale. That includes about a half pound of some kind of fasteners. I am not an expert in buttons, nor do I have the expertise to make any representation as to actual composite, condition or worth. They are from a 90 year old womans estate and they either go , or go in the garbage. I am pricing them low and will not refund on this auction so PLEASE ask any questions PRIOR to placing a bid. If you are a serious button fanatic and want mint condition items, this may not be the auction for you. These buttons have been used. I imagine if nothing else, they would be good for arts and crafts projects for elementary kids or scouts. Thank you for viewing this auction and have a wonderful day.
