This auction is for a group of vintage pitchers in pewter. These unusual items come from Europe and they have a colonial feel. The tallest pitcher stands at 10-1/8 inches tall from the base to the top of the acorns on the handle. The belly measures 15 inches in circumfrence. The next tallest pitcher stands at 8 inches and the belly is 11-1/2 inches. The next pitcher stands at 7-7/8 inches and the belly is 10 inches. The smallest pitcher stands at 5-5/8 inches and the belly is 7-1/2 inches. This type of set was often displayed above the entry door on an oak shelf. Some of the older taverns and homes still follow this tradition. It is rare to find a complete set for sale. If you have any questions about this item please e-mail me.
