A vintage Evans cigarette lighter with a colored instruction / features leaflet and paper box in overall near mint condition. The beauty of this lighter comes from its original chrome finish ripple design and curvaseous top! As the slogan on the leaflet says, "Evans is elegance". The lighter must have spent most of its life in its box as it appears the wick has never seen a flame, the flint will need to be replaced as it has deteriorated. The leaflet lists 7 features that set this lighter apart, the one that tops the list is the "RED SEAL Fuel Control and self'-adjusting snuffer, Evans latest exclusive feature which eliminates flooding-prevents fluid evaporation and gives more lights per filling". I will let you read the other six from the leaflet, which is in excellent condition. The rear of the leaflet that is not shown in the pictures below has information that describes how to fill the lighter and how to replace flints (which you will need to know if you plan on using this lighter). The box is a light gray and has the Evans coat of arms in navy blue on the lid. The lighter has a couple light surface scratches and the top of the box has one corner separated and the bottom has two, please see the magnified pictures below.
