Vintage Eversharp, Aerometric fill, solid gold nib fountain pen and mechanical lead pencil set in their original Eversharp box, in burgundy plastic. These writing instruments are new old stock , never used except perhaps for testing, but due to their old age I am offering them as collectibles only. However, the rubber bladder feels still flexible, and the mechanical pencil--well, what can happen to an unused mechanical pencil? The pen cap clip says MADE IN USA/EVERSHARP and its silver is superficially lightly tarnished due to room airborne moisture. The pencil clip likewise is superficially lightly tarnished. Silver clips are a bad idea! Eversharp was known for its elegant but impractical design ideas and this is one of them. The cap screws on to the barrel. The solid gold nib reads 14K/EVERSHARP/MADE IN USA and it looks new as it should. It shows a classic Eversharp design in clip and feed. The barrel screws off to reveal the Aerometric (squeeze) filler (Photo 6), with two metal bands that helpfully say PRESS HERE ---> O . The metal looks less than shiny after decades of inactivity. The fuzzy light brown box with cream satin inside lining reads EVERSHARP both inside and out, with the cute Eversharp loop. read more
