A vintage, Exide, metal, battery storage rack in original paint. The rack, 38" high by 37" wide and 9" deep, is probably from the 1940's or 50's...right out of a home in Massachusetts that was built in the late 1940's. I would call it good, original condition with 95% original, black paint and lettering...there is surface rust in various places and the bottom, but overall the piece looks great for the folks that like automotive advertising...the orange "Exide" signs on both sides are pretty dramatic against the black. There is a stamped name on the top front, "Eagle Sheet Metal Mfg Co Chicago, Ill. ...there is a paint drip on part of the name. The rack has two removable, orange shelves and the case is spot welded, so cannot be broken down for shipping...it will be sold as a local pick-up (we are 20 minutes from the famous Brimfield Flea Market in Massachusetts) and storage will be no problem with us.
