If you could imagine the sound of this bell, you would snatch it up in a moment's time as it speaks of history and times gone by. This is by far the most magnificent bell I have ever encountered. Not that large, could sit on your desk, could just shock the dogs right out of their movement, bam, frozen in space as I ring the bell to alert them of a happening... The turnings on this bell are beautiful, the handle is awesome and strong with a rich patina made only by the oils in one's hands and just the right size to fit in your hand as it did with many a school master at least a century ago. Measuring 6'' at its widest point on the brass bell and 9'' in total length, the turnings and the overall patina on this old school bell, make this a great piece of history.
