Spectacular Shawl! Jet black beads sparkling on three yards of turqouise-wow!This sensational vintage shawl is just waiting to be turned into window treatments, table cover, pillows or drape it over anything! The shawl is a turquoise, linen like weave with vintage satin like borders. It is covered with a breathtaking fleur -de-lise pattern on either end, florals and leaves in glistening onyx colored beads. The beads are also sewn over the entirety of the shawl at 1/2" increments.The beads are miniscule, the size of a pen point,and multi faceted so that they catch every glimmer of light and sparkle at every angle.The shawl is 100"x 26".Some of the beads are missing (see photo)but they are barely noticeable. It appears that the shawl dates from the early 20th century and has aged gracefully but t are some imperfections. T is a 1/2" open weave at the top right side, one third of the way down on the left side are two 1/2" holes and across on the right side a 1/2" snag. In the middle of the shawl t is 1/2" fray on the border material and a 1/4 " light brown stain. On the bottom by the fleur-de-lise t are two 1/4" holes on top and 1/2 hole on side and bottom border . This is a very rare piece that would add a special and unique dramatic, romantic or victorian touch to your decor, the possibilities are endless.Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions and do check out our great feedback from our customers.
