~ FARBERWARE ~ Fully Automatic Superfast 6-8 Cup Percolator Coffeemaker Model 138...120 volts ac... 1,000 watts >>> MADE IN U SA <<<This great Farberware percolator is in excellent used condition . I believe this model dates to the 1960s. Manufactured in Bronx, New York, back when Farberware was still making high-quality products like this in America. Nice and very shiny polished stainless steel body. With Farberware's trademark deco style stay-cool black plastic/bakelite handle. Marked on the side of the pot at 8 & 6 cups, t are two marks below that as well. I would assume they're for 2 & 4 cups. Fully automatic , it begins perking just after you plug it in. At a cup-per-minute , you'll see why it's called Superfast , with zero sacrifice in quality. Another great feature of these percolators is that you can unplug the cord from the pot to take it to the table, or leave it plugged in and it will keep the coffee piping hot as long as you like. The interior of the pot, as well as all of the parts are bright stainless steel. The basket, lid and stem--all in very nice condition with minor, normal signs of use. One thing to note: the ceramic warming tube on the stem has a piece broken on it (see picture). It's a minor thing, and will not effect the performance of the coffee pot at all, but I did want to point it out. The outside of the percolator shows some typical minor surface scratches from use and cleaning that you would expect of an appliance of this age, but they don't detract from the overall great looks of this coffee pot at all, in my opinion. The black knob, handle and base are shiny and in great condition. Comes with a short (2-ft) vinyl appliance cord, in excellent condition as well. The perfect size for someone who doesn't need a 12-cup percolator. My wife and I use these same great vintage appliances ourselves on a daily basis, and we get a lot of satisfaction finding and offering these quality items Truly superior in quality--and style--again, my opnion, to anything made these days. This coffee pot is clean, inside and out. Fully tested, it performed beautifully and will make a wonderful pot of coffee! And like I said, at about a cup per minute, it rivals any of the drip coffeemakers out t for speed, not to mention the fantastic flavor. It measures about 10-1/2" tall, and is about 8" spout to tip of handle. I like all of the vintage percolators, but I think Farberware is the pinnacle of what coffee makers are supposed to be: great style, all stainless steel body and parts, as well as the absolute simplicity of use. Please take a look at the pictures--which will supersize for a closer view--and if you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to contact me. ************* Never a reserve or inflated shipping costs.
