This auction is for a vintage ~ FARBERWARE ~Fully Automatic Superfast 6-8 Cup Percolator Coffeemaker Model 138...120 volts ac... 1,000 watts >>> MADE IN U SA <<<This great Farberware percolator is in excellent vintage used condition . I believe this model dates to the 1960s. Manufactured in Yonkers, New York, back when Farberware was still making high-quality products like this in America. Nice and shiny polished stainless steel body. With Farberware's trademark retro deco style stay-cool black plastic/bakelite handle. And with the glass top, you can actually see the coffee perking! Marked on the side of the pot at 6 & 8 cups, t are two marks below that I assume are for 2 and 4 cups. Fully automatic , it begins perking just after you plug it in. At a cup-per-minute , you'll see why it's called Superfast , with zero sacrifice in quality. Another great feature of these percolators is that you can unplug the cord from the pot to take it to the table, or leave it plugged in and it will keep the coffee piping hot as long as you like. The interior of the pot, as well as all of the parts are bright stainless steel. The basket, lid and stem--all in very nice condition with normal signs of use. The outside of the percolator shows some typical surface scratches from use and cleaning that you would expect of an appliance of this age, but they don't detract from the great looks of this coffee pot at all, in my opinion. The handle and base are nice and shiny. T are some tiny, very minor chips in the edge of the base. Stuff you wouldn't even notice unless you went looking for them--nothing at all serious. Comes with a vinyl appliance cord, in excellent condition as well. My wife and I use these same great vintage appliances ourselves on a daily basis, and we get a lot of satisfaction finding and offering these quality items Truly superior in quality--and style--again, my opnion, to anything made these days. This coffee pot is clean, inside and out. Fully tested, it performed beautifully and will make a wonderful small pot of coffee! And like I said, at a cup per minute, it rivals any of the drip coffeemakers out t for speed, not to mention the fantastic flavor. It measures about 10" tall, and is about 8-1/2" spout to tip of handle. I like all of the vintage percolators, but I think Farberware is the pinnacle of what coffee makers are supposed to be: great style, all stainless steel body and parts, absolute simplicity of use, and of course.... excellent quality coffee . This is a perfect size for someone who doesn't need a full-size 12-cup percolator. Plug it in when you get up, and before you can finish brushing your teeth, you'll be greeted by the wonderful aroma of freshly perked coffee! Please take a look at the pictures--which will SUPERSIZE for a closer view--and if you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to contact me. would make a great addition to any retro kitchen collection! ******************************* The overwhelming majority of folks that we've had the pleasure of doing business with on ebay are honest and decent, understanding that a bid on an item is a contract, a promise to pay if you win the auction. And that shipping does cost, and that t are only certain options that we have available to us that are convenient, etc. But due to the few that we've run into lately, we feel the need to detail our 'policies' regarding payment and shipping. We think they're fair, commonsense and straightforward and hope you think so, too. But if you don't agree with any of it, we would rather that you simply not bid. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. * IMPORTANT PAYMENT & SHIPPING INFORMATION * The shipping calculator should give you exact shipping to your zip code--we only charge actual shipping costs, nothing more.
