UP FOR AUCTION IS A LOT OF 24 VINTAGE OLD FARMERS ALMANACS DATING 1899 THROUGH 1924. MISSING ARE YEARS 1920 AND 1922. THE BOOKLETS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE FOR THEIR AGE. CHECK OUT 1899 W THE ALMANAC PREDICTS SNOW OR COLD AROUND THE 13TH OF FEBRUARY AND SUGGESTS THAT "YOU DO NOT SPEND YOUR TIME, ON STORMY OR COLD DAYS, AT THE CORNER GROCERY, FINDING FAULT WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS". THE GREAT BLIZZARD OF 1899 STARTED FEBRUARY 12TH, 1899 AS A COLD WAVE THROUGH THE SOUTH. NOT ONLY DOES THE ALMANAC PREDICT THE WEATHER, BUT GIVES OUT GOOD ADVICE.
