Offering for a uction an Amazing ~ STARRY PATH ~ PATTERN BLOCK QUILT TOP from the 30's or before. This Beautiful pi ece was found in North Eastern O kla homa at the Trease Family Estate , and shows the history. The entire quilt is hand piece d & hand sewn . Quilt top measures 98.5" X 79" and that is with out any boarders. There are 63 finished blocks hand sewn together . Each block me asures 9"X 9 " ins ide the sashing. Sashing has 1.5" X 9" Strips and a small 1.5" X 1.25" Black on each corner. Ive counted 7 S titches Per Inch and the needlewor k is very straight. There is a variety of different fabrics used in quilt, a lot of it is feed sack, poli shed cotton on the sashing and other fabrics as well. O n the back of the quilt I have a picture of a printed signature, or either the feed sack manufacturer or designer. Co lor Pallate is vibrant and eye-popping , Quilt top has never been washed and is Crisp and has no odor. There is so me soiling in a few spo ts, and I would think it could be cleaned by someone who has handled Vintage fabric. A Quilt Top with a lot of hand work and quality craftsmanship , it certainly will make a beautiful collectible piece and would look outstanding in any collection.
