For sale my Vintage Fender F35 Acoustic guitar fitted with a magnetic soundhole pickup with built in volume control . My research suggests that this model was made between 1972 and 1981 and as the Serial Number begins 'F79' I guerss that it was probably made in 1979. The Internet does not confirm where the guitar was made but the various suggestions point towards USA or Japan - perhaps a Fender expert will help me out here. The guitar has no country of origin mark that I can see. Do not confuse this with the host of entry level acioustics bearing the Fender name. The soundhole pickup is a Vester VSP 200 - doesn't mean a lot to me but it sounds good. The pickup has a volume control rotary built in to the left hand side - you can just about see it in the picture. At the moment the guitar is fitted with electric guitar strings to enhace the bass response of the magnetic pickup so the acoustic sound is bit thin. The neck has a vintage 'V' profile that you either love or hate. There is some repaied damage to the top of the lower bout - see picture. It is not structural - just a poor quality repair - a bit of work by someone with reasonable skills could vastly improve the appearance. Apart from that the guitar has the usual selection of minor scrapes etc to be expected on a 33 year old instrument. Any questioons please ask. Quoted read more
