Up for auction is a Vintage Fenton Carnival Marigold? Orange Tree Rosebowl from my personal collection. In excellent condition, this beauty measure approx. 4" tall x 5" across and is marked with Fenton embossed logo in an oval with no number underneath, indicating made prior to 1970? I don't know too much about it, truly, I bought it at an antique shop many, many years ago. I am not even sure of its correct color. I took a few pictures so you could see what I mean. I do know that Fenton first produced "Marigold" iridescent glassware in late 1907, and the rainbow effect soon caught the public's eye. Great care is needed to produce the vivid metallic copper tones. Fenton has since reintroduced the "Marigold" process in 2005. Every time I look at it, it changes colors, but it has the most amazing golden coppery hue to it. It is also a three footed piece, which look like tree trunks; very cool! When you hold it up to the light and look through it, it appears to be a deep rich red color, but the outside is a carnival black or deep amethyst. I am clueless, but it is a very unique, gorgeous vintage piece of Fenton. Don't miss your opportunity to own this stunning piece of history! Thanks so much for looking! I will be listing some very fine pieces over the next few days so please check back often; you never know what you may find with read more
