Vintage Fenton Gone With the Wind
Lime Green Satin Poppy Hurricane Lamp
This auction is for a Vintage Fenton Gone With the Wind Lime Green Satin Poppy Hurricane Lamp. The Poppy pattern was made by the Fenton Glass Company from 1967-1974.
This beautiful lamp is 24" tall to the top of the inner white to clear globe. The lamp is 22 ½" to the top of the ruffled Poppy globe. The globes are approximately 8 1/2" in diameter across the widest area with a 4" wide bottom fitter opening. The bottom globe is about 7" high and the top shade is 10 1/2" tall; both are the original globes. The beautifully cast base, fittings and turn-key look like antiqued brass.
This is a standard three-way lamp with original wiring and is fully functional. Either the top, the bottom, or both globes can be switched on. Turn the switch one time, and the top lights up; turn it again, and the bottom lights up; turn again, and both top and bottom light up. The top takes a standard bulb and the bottom uses a smaller night-light type of bulb.
The lamp globes could use a better cleaning as it has been stored for nearly 15 years. Condition is excellent with no nips, chips, damage or imperfections.
This wonderful Fenton Lamp will look beautiful in your home. Pictures speak a thousand words so please look at them for the best description.
