Fenwick FF79 designed for 6 wt but I think a 5 wt is the ideal line for this trout rod. Comes with original hard plastic triangular carry tube still with original Payless Drugstore price tag glue and original red plaid felt sock both in A- condition. Rod is in A- condition, (2 minor dings just below "Ferralite", a few almost invisable scuff/rub marks here/there). The story goes like this. Our family used to backpack down to the North, Middle, and South Forks of the American-Yuba-Feather river systems camping streamside amongst the rattlesnakes, brown bears and an occaisional woebegone miner working the "cricks". Man, those streams are really something surrounded with massive fields of Sierra granite warming in the canyon sun with emerald pools of gin clear see to the bottom snow and spring fed liquid gold filled with eager resident rainbows ready for a floating humpy at any time of the day. Well, Dad handed down an FF315 for these hikes because he thought it might fit me to which I put to very good use not that I was overly careful where I placed it. As he was demonstrating casting mechanics to me one day with the 315 he found that he really liked it and during one of his City-job lunch hours, headed over to Payless and picked up an FF79 for himself.
