Vintage Fiesta Ware Promotional Yellow Sugar Bowl & Creamer on a Cobalt Figure-8 Tray Set (1940 to 1943). Guaranteed Vintage, not the post 86 re-issue. The pieces in this set were the last designed by Frederick Rhead for Fiesta, and were the last items added to the line until the individual salad bowl of 1959. This color combination was one of the standard configurations though other colors exist. Yellow Sugar Bowl: No faults found. Yellow Sugar Bowl Lid: Very, very tiny pin size nip on finial edge, hard to see. Yellow Creamer: Several factory manufactured (very tiny) pin size glaze pinholes, four on rim and two on side. Cobalt Tray: Some use marks (caused by the dry foot on both the creamer and sugar) which always show more on this color, a larger than normal saggar and a 3/16" under the handle edge chip. This set is always a great addition to any Fiesta collection.
