Up for Auction A Vintage Majolica Figural Tobacco Jar I know little about this piece but I can tell you what I do know. It measures Approx 6 3/4 " Tall and Approx 6" Wide. Marked on the bottom 9678, 51 and Initialed. It is in what I consider to be nice condition for it's age however it does have two small chips on the lid. One is on the inside Aprox 1/3" in size and barely noticable when the lid is on the base, the other is on the same side of the lid on the opposite corner Aprox 1/4" in size. I have taken several close up pictures so you can get a good look. (pictures 6 & 7). To put it in perspective the lid is 4" x 3". (pictures 9 & 10). The outside is glazed, the inside is bisque and does have a bit of stain. As you can see from the many pictures the items I have described do not affect the display of this great looking piece.
