VINTAGE FIREFIGHTER'S BUNKER COAT

Men's small or Women's Large. Size tag inside says " 32/38".

Made by Hoffman Enterprises, Riverside California.

Tag also says "Vapor Barrier Poly-Cotton. Coated with durable flame resistant neoprene NFPA. Standard 1971. Hand wash mild soap & warm water. Dry by hanging in open area. Do not dry clean coat fabric. Do not fold or store when wet."

This coat appears to have never been worn. Smells clean, good. Must have been stored properly.

I took photos of the tag & receipt I found in the pocket, blocking out the name to protect this unknown person. You can have these documents should you win this auction. Purchase date was in 1987. Total price was $143.74 after tax. Purchased in Los Angeles, CA at "A Star Is Born".

I am wondering if this was in fact an authentic firefighter's coat, but never seen action. Perhaps it ended up in a costume shop? Well, regardless... the original owner paid a lot of money for it back in 1987.

If you "google" this company's name, you can find some info which again leads me to believe this really is a REAL firefighter's coat and not a costume. Feel free to let me know if you have info on this coat. Thanks!

This coat is quite heavy. Weighs about 7 lbs, maybe 7.5. Beautiful rich red color with a brown corduroy collar. No fading, stains, rips, smells, etc. As I said, I believe this coat never seen "action". Looks MINT! It does have a snap out lining, tan in color, which is kind of neat. This could make a nice barn jacket, fall through winter.
