Beautiful solid sterling silver art proof from the BANK INGOTS COLLECTION. This is the FIRST CITIZENS BANK & TRUST ingot, minted in the 1970's by the Franklin Mint. The ingot weighs 2.083 troy ounces (1000 grains) of 925 sterling silver.There is tremendous value in the silver alone. But the value of this superb vintage art ingot is more than just the silver, it is a beautiful frosty sterling silver proof from a limited edition collection minted over 40 years ago. The ingot is edge-marked "100 GRAINS STERLING". Condition Description Brilliant proof ingot, may have slight toning (see photos for exact condition). This ingot has not been dipped or cleaned.
