~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ ~*~This buy it now is for this beatufiul, 100% hand-woven roll of vintage European hemp/linen roll measuring ~*~( 9.84 yards) 29.5 feet long by 22.44 inches wide (9 meters by 57cm) ~*~* An ABSOLUTE STUNNING STUNNING roll. This is a THICK DURABLE, pure hemp roll ~ This Wonderful wonderful roll is a beautiful herringbone weave ~ the most lovely thick weave, It is SO beautiful!~ ~ This roll has a stunning quite pale tone on one side and the other is a darker, more flaxy tone which the dark side is the reverse side of the herringbone~ so perfect multiple projects or one big project! One could use either side very successfully and I have photographed both weaves in photograph 4 and 3 for you to see! ~*~ it is a really wonderful textile treasure. these heavy weight rolls make the most amazing upholstery fabric, curtains, bedding, pillows, and are amazingly durable, beautiful texture ~*~* I am able to match longer yardage pieces of this textile should one require more yards for a large project as my backstock is vast, please email me with any questions~*~ ( I have attached some photographs of some upholstery projects that have been created by my designers using my linen~*~ ( furniture not included in this buy it now) ~Please see my store page “ About Hand-woven, Homespun Yardage” for more information on these wonderful textiles ~Perfect for slip covers, coverlets, blankets, lamp shades, curtains, upholstery, runners, tablecloths, napkins, clothing....you name it! This would make amazing heirloom projects! ~*~ it is another wonderful textile treasure~*~ This linen is just beautiful when seamed for larger projects~ if you require larger amounts of linen please email me as my backstock is vast and I can usually match larger quantities for large projects~*~ This roll is very very beautiful~*~* *~* This roll is in wonderful unused condition~ There are some pale dirt marks on this roll that will wash, just wonderful. ~*~ washing is very easy! Perfect for easy lifestyles~*~ Please see below~~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains,clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, on 40 or 60 celcius..if there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and there is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage ( I always list the content so if it doesn't . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! New Hemp can be soaked in water for 3 days and then washed on regular cycle to soften or one can use liquid fabric softener if desired. Most of my rolls don't tend to need any additional help with softening as they have a lovely texture as is~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~ All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are inherent ...adding to their rustic charm~*~ These rolls are increasingly difficult to find as they have been used so extensively over the past 20 years.
