I am pleased to offer you this Japanese asian porcelain tan and white foo dog guardian statue. Measures 8 inches by 6.5 inches tall. It is marked with the maker on the back Yoshimi K. T are no chips, cracks or noted damage

Foo lion dogs have magical properties and the power to repel evil spirits. A pair of shishi traditionally stand guard outside the gates of Japansese Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples.

Shishi are depicted with their mouth open (to scare off demons) or closed (to shelter and keep in the good spirits).
