This listing is for a vintage silverplate tea set. The tea pot, open sugar, and creamer are all marked: Forbes Silver Co. USA Quadruple 638. The tea pot measures 10.5" to the top of the finial, by 9.25" handle to spout, by 3.5" across the opening. The pin in the lid's hinge, has been replaced. The sugar bowl measures 5.75" handle to handle, by 3" tall, by 3.5" across the opening. The creamer is 5" handle to spout, by 3" to the top of the spout, by 3" across the opening. This is an absolutely stunning set, with clusters of grapes and vines around the wide parts, and on the feet. The tray, was not made by the same company, and I can't read the maker's mark, but it goes well with the set. It has grape clusters and leaves around the rim.It says on the bottom, that it's silver on copper, and it's very heavy. The tray has some tarnish, and a little plate wear. None of the pieces have any dents, and the tea set has no plate wear. I love this set, because it's so different. It's so much prettier than the photo shows.
