Fostoria American Cake Plate

Presenting a vintage Fostoria pattern "American" cake plate. American was one of Forstoria's most popular Early American Patterned Glass (EAPG) designs- introduced in 1915. This plate is stunning! It stands 7" tall and the plate is 10" wide- perfect for the standard 9" wide cake. The top of the cake plate has a narrow .5" decorative rim. The cake plate is flat but the center of the plate has a well which is about 1" deep and 1.5" across which is used to catch icing or drips from a bundt pan. This is one solid stand at 6 lb. I charge $1.50 wrapping cost for lots of bubble wrap and strong boxing to reach you in A+ condition. This charge is already worked into the shipping calculator.

Condition: Sadly, t is a very minor chip just on top of a mold seam about 1/4" up from the base of the plate. (See picture- reflection of light makes a natural "pointer" to this spot.) The mold seam is raised a bit so more inclined to suffer abuse. The chip is quite unobtrusive and easier to feel than to see. All else looks excellent and the glass in clear and sparkly. Rings when tapped.
